Hi, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Apologies if anyone thinks this is tmi, I just want to hear other people’s thoughts.

I’ve always had very heavy & painful periods, regular as clockwork & lasting about 8 days. I conceived my first child the first month of trying (lucky I know) & there was never a question in my mind over if we’d struggle to conceive next time. My periods returned after breastfeeding for 8 months, they were more painful & heavier than ever but for the past few months (now 2 years later) they’ve changed drastically. They’re heavy & painful for a day or 2 then I bleed intermittently (lightly) for a few more days.

My partner & I have been trying to conceive for nearly 6 months now & no joy. I’m starting to worry about things like early menopause! Although there’s no history of that in my family.

I’m 32 & up to date with my smear test. Do you think a drs visit is in order?

Hi @Busybeinglost I'm afraid I'm not much help but I wanted to say that I'm in a very similar boat. I've started having early spotting and today AF showed up at 9dpo. I used to be regular as clockwork. I conceived my DS straight away and now I've been TTC for 15months - had 2 MCs in the that time (last one in Nov) and since Nov my periods have been v odd with short luteal phase. I too am worried about early menopause but I'm older at 38. I'm definitely calling the DRs on Monday and booking an appointment. I'm fed up googling and guessing and worrying every cycle. I hope you get some answers and all is well. TTC is so hard, I never expected it to be like this.
