am 54 and post menopause around 4 years. had an ultrasound today and was told that there is a cyst on my rhs ovary. she didn't seem concerned (said it didn't look sinister) however i am not overly thrilled. she said she would write to my gp who would decide further action. anyone else in the same/similar situation? thanks

Hi mmother. Just seen your post. Had a blood test done last week. Had one done a few weeks ago by a different Dr which I think was ok. Do you know if/what your next move is? Do you get any twinges or discomfort from yours? I get the odd very mild sensation

I’m currently waiting for blood results to, I’m praying I get mine tomorrow😬 and yes, I get really bad pressure in the morning when I wee and other times feels like a period type pain on the right side.
How’re you getting on now

Pretty shit really 😁. Had loads of tests which seem to have found all sorts inc lesions on my liver plus cysts in my pelvic bone. Have an Mir tomorrow. Trying to be positive and not dwell on it but I have my moments. Consultant seemed to think both are probably nothing but radiologist wanted to be safe. Internet says these things are common and benign. I just hope they are these things. That's the thing, you have tests and all sorts come up. I guess perhaps lots of people have these things but would only know if they had a ct scan etc, something I had a few weeks ago. I haven't had a period for over 4 years so assumed my ovarys were non functioning. When I was in child bearing years I used to get ovulation pain each month which was handy when ttc. I had the odd cyst too. Re the ovary ultrasound, i havent heard back from my gp so i dont know what she wants to do if anything. I guess it depends on the size of which i dont know. I may go and see a gyni myself. Best of luck with your results. Pls let me know how you get on.
