Please share your experiences! I have my first one next week and I know they squash your boobs but there really isn't much to squash. I have an ultrasound immediately afterwards too. No concerns, just routine screening.

Yes. Done it. Just do it. I reckon big boobed have their issues too. It doesn't take long and we'll worth it. Smile

Men can have mammograms too apparently (according to my last mammographer) so I think you'll be fine (well, as fine as anybody is having them).

I've had a mammogram with my non existent boobs. She managed to squish them between the plates. Good luck!

A friend told me hers failed to squish, being too small, and she was ultrasound-ed.

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 05/04/2019 18:00

the bit they squish is right against the chest wall so i'm not sure your cup size makes a massive diff to the procedure.

Squash boobs not the problem. Mine are so soft you could probably tie them into knots without causing me pain. However, machine scraping them off my chest was quite painful (to sternum, ribs). The radiographer even said something about this being a problem for non-fat people. (cheers; my BMI is almost 22, I'm hardly a skinny minnie!)
