Repeat surveillance colonscopy - soooo scared

Hi

I had a colonscopy 3 years ago and they found 3 benign polyps.

Diagnosed with IBS,

I am now due a repeat surveillance colonscopy.

I am super scared, having the procedure and what they may find this time.

What are the chances of anything nasty developing during that time?

My cousin is 50 and has bowel cancer so this makes me think it's in the family and I'll have it too.

Serious health anxiety sufferer too.

Thanks for reading xx

They took out the polyps so they would be the thing likely to have changes but they are out.
It's a good thing they are checking again. Keeping an eye regularly.
