I was put on the mini-pill Cerelle by my doctor, and gradually started getting spots on my chin, jawine, cheeks, and back. My skin has always been pretty good so I'm certain it was the hormones in that pill and I believe acne is a common side effect with the mini-pill.
I'm considering getting a mirena coil inserted but because it has similar hormones to the mini-pill, I'm wondering if my skin will react the same way? I've read that the coil only releases about a pill's worth of hormones in a month so perhaps with lesser hormones, there will be less side effects?
Anyone have any experience with the mini-pill and the coil?
