St Johns Wort-no period??

I've been taking St. John's wort for about 3 weeks now to try and improve my mood swings. I feel better it seems to be having an effect whether imaginary or not however my period is now 8 days late. I had a negative test today but knew pregnancy was pretty unlikely not having had sex for a while...
Any one had any experience of this? Google would suggest this happens occasionally but no one has mentioned when it may come back?

Hi yes this happened to me too a few years ago. I was feeling a bit down so started St John's Wort and that month my period was late. However I'm not sure if I could attribute it to this as I was since diagnosed with premature menopause (age 41). So my erratic periods and low mood was due to this instead. Now fixed with HRT.

St John's wort interferes with the pill and possibly other hormonal contraception too, are you taking any currently?

No I'm not on any contraception at the moment
