I gave birth seven months ago and decided after four months post partum had the implant fitted for contraception.
I was breastfeeding until my baby was four months old but due to insufficient supply started bottle feeding. Whilst breastfeeding my periods did come back.
My periods were irregular and since having the implant I've had constant spotting/bleeding and cramping. I've had the implant before but things settled within a month or two. My gp has arranged a scan to be safe but I'm concerned she suggested if all is well she can give me the pill on top of the implant to tail things off.
Has anyone experienced this and tried this option? I'm due back to work in August and scared it'll turn me into a hormonal mess.
