Persistent Thrush and Sex

I've had thrush now for 4 months. It's been on and off, I would have one dose of Canestan and it would go for 3 days and then it's back!

I decided to go to the doctors and she's given me tablets to have once a week for 2 months, so far no good... it keeps returning!

My main question is I've started dating a guy and I've been seeing him for two months. Luckily my thrush had cleared the last 3 and only times we've had sex but I'm worried that when I see him next that my thrush will be there and at it's worst. I'm up for having sex but I'm worried he'll see I have thrush. Is the thick discharge during sex less obvious due to you being wetter? Would he have thick discharge on him after? (Sorry, gross I know)...

Also, if anyone has had persistent thrush, how have you got rid of it? I'm getting so frustrated now and need help :( my doctor doesn't seem to be doing much other than giving me these weekly tablets.

P.s. I've been tested for sti's etc. All clear.. so I don't know what it could be :(

Is your partner using condoms? You can pass thrush on to him if not.

Have you tried cutting sugar out of your diet. I've heard thrush thrives on it.

to be honest its not advisable to have sex while you have thrush condoms are a must but they can irritate it
sweet sugary things feed on the infection so you need to cut out cake sweets biscuits etc
the usual no thongs tights tight trousers or jeans
take lots of probiotic yoghurt
hope you feel better soon
