Severe abnormal cells smear test...anyone ?

Hi all,

I had a smear test last month and got a letter from NHS today to say I have abnormal cells and the hospital will contact me with an appointment.
However the abnormal cells are classed as ‘severe’ and high grade abnormal cells and this has scared the life out of me. Anybody experienced this? Thank you in advance.

Me - aged 23, my first ever smear test.

I had a colposcopy and normal smear results ever since (I am now late 30s). I have a smear every year for peace of mind.

I had a colposcopy aged 26, nothing untoward in the 20 years since x
