Extreme groin and lower back pain

Hi, I'm 27 + 6 and am experiencing really bad lower back pain (for around a month/2) and recently pain in my groin area and upper thighs. This pain is getting quite unbearable and I'm starting to struggle with walking etc, finding it worsens when I'm in bed and having to roll over, or after sitting for ages and trying to walk after.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this too, or if I should contact midwife. I was there today and she didn't seem concerned but the pain has worsened throughout the day to the point I've ended up in tears.

Thanks! X

Definitely contact your midwife or look in your book as you may be able to self refer for physio: its really common. There are things that can help so do seek help - they usually fast track you through too. I was seen in a week when I was pregnant.

I the mean time try sitting on a yoga/Pilates ball (the correct size for your height). I used to bounce on one for hours. You can also usually find private pregnancy Pilates/yoga classes which may help you.

Thank you for your help, will look into a yoga ball and classes for now

You don't have a UTI by chance?

Phoned physio and got an appointment next week! Been using heat which has eased the pain a bit so will continue doing so until next week. Def not a UTI
