Umbilical endometriosis

I've just been diagnosed with umbilical endometriosis. Slightly in shock as for the last 2 years I've thought I had a hernia.

I have no problems with my periods except on day 2+ where my belly button turns bright purple and I'm in so much agony I can't move.

As I'm just about to ttc, only treatment for me is pain management.

I know it's rare but wondering if anyone has any experience of this and has any tips for best course of action. I'm absolutely terrified that it will affect my fertility. GP says it won't as it's not affecting my periods.
