Pelvic floor muscles?

I have a 4 month old baby, gave birth vaginally. Up until now I’ve been fine, no incontinence. I’ve got a really bad chesty cough, and was bursting for the loo. As I walked across the landing to the bathroom I had a coughing fit and literally just pissed myself.

Is this something I should be concerned about? I’m paranoid about leaving the house now incase it happens again.

Yup, you need to exercise your pelvic floor. The most helpful thing I found was going to a physio who specialises in women's health - I paid £40 to see one recommended by my gynae privately as I couldn't deal with the NHS waiting list in my area (4 months). She was brilliant in making sure I was actually exercising the correct muscles and it's made a huge difference.
