Embarrassing..but a lump!

First of all, please forgive me because I have no real idea of the names of parts of a vagina. This is a bit embarrassing but I'm a hypochondriac and very worried!

I have found a small lump, maybe the size of a pea near my vagina. It's kind of next to the labia (think that's the name) underneath the outside flap (god awful word)! It's a bit itchy and swollen on that side now and feels bruised to touch where the public hair grows.

I'm terrified it could be cancer which I know is probably silly. Does anyone know what it could be? I'm too embarrassed to go to the doctor and have anxiety which makes it worse. I am in my early twenties and have never experienced this. Also sorry if TMI but I had rough sex with DP so don't know if that injured it.

i only know this because i had an infected one that required an emergency admission to hospital last summer.

i still have a cyst but its thank god not causing me an issue. never have i ever experienced anything so painful (and ive endured labour!)

thank you :) I have googled it and looked at previous threads about them as I'd never heard of them and I'm pretty sure that I have acquired one! I will call my doctors tomorrow for an appointment to be on the safe side x

I've had a few of those. In my mind I thought with the first one it was no more than a spot in a very strange place. I was right! Hope you're ok Smile
