Vaginal hysterectomy - recovery issues

Sam2112 · 20/02/2019 19:58

Had vaginal hysterectomy in Nov. 2018, - AGE 53 - complex issues with endometriosis and being intersex.

All ok (ish) still experiencing discharge and not great with having to cope with the pads etc.

Issue is vaginal dryness - which I have never really experienced before - do not need for sexual issues, but the dryness is causing irritation -

Has anyone recommendations for treatments or diet changes - as I sense this is not going to get better, not on HRT at moment, and due to complex medical issues i would prefer not to have to go down that route -

Also, and I can't seem to edit the original post, I have sadly been lactating - which again is unusual for me, I have never been pregnant - am intersex and first time ever that i have lactated this badly

Hysterectomy (vaginal) in Nov 18, NO HRT, - But endometriosis - NO Menstrual cycle - how is this possible ? should i be concerned ?

I find ‘Yes’ vaginal moisturiser to be very helpful and you can get it on prescription. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
