I've been getting shooting pains for a while on the left side of my pelvis, had a scan a while ago which found nothing new, and put it down to my existing endometriosis.
Then yesterday at work I had such bad pain on the left side of my vagina, throbbing and aching, and it was painful to sit down. After feeling around last night I've found a huge painful lump at the back of my vagina (from googling, I've found that this is possibly the rectovaginal septum). And a smaller hard lump further up.
Of course it's easy to scare myself googling, (and I have), but from what I've found, most vaginal cysts are benign, although this seems to be an unusual place for an ordinary cyst. Rectovaginal nodules have also come up, which involves a horrible type of endometriosis, and these require extensive surgery.
I'm going to try to see a gp tomorrow, but in the meantime, had anyone else had a lump in this location? Also if you've had a rectovaginal nodule were your symptoms similar to mine? Any other insight very welcome.
