Many years ago, before we were married, my DW decided to go on the pill. She was given Cerazette, the progestogen only pill. She cannot take a combined pill because of her BMI.
Unfortunately, Cerazette affected her libido terribly, to the point that we were not intimate for many months at a time.
She has also tried using Implanon, and experienced similar problems.
For the past several years, we've relied exclusively on condoms. But we'd really like to dispense with them if we can.
Following some recent research online, I discovered that Cerazette is not the only brand of progestogen only pill available, and that some women who have problems with one pill are fine after switching to another.
My DW was never told this!
She is willing to try a different progestogen only pill, but we're both concerned that a different pill would still cause the same side effects.
Have any of you experienced libido problems while taking Cerazette, and if you switched to a different brand of progestogen only pill, did things improve at all?
