Hair thinning
Dry skin
Insomnia (a little, but also related to my PTSD)
Worsened anxiety
Low mood
Little energy
Increased sweating, dramatically
Feeling warm
Achy joints
Lengthening menstrual cycles
Heavy and/or long periods.

Those are the main symptoms I've had for about a year now, and they have been steadily getting worse. Started when my LO was approx 6 months. I put it all down to hormones and things getting back to normal... But things aren't getting better. My cycles have gone from 28 day, regular aa clockwork, to 30-32 days and vary in length and volume. I'm currently on day 34 of this cycle and no signs so have made a doctors appointment.

I am 30.

I am paranoid it's early menopause, which is common in my family but normally around 35-40.

Another thing I've found to match my symptoms is thyroid problems?

Does anyone have thyroid troubles or have experienced early menopause that could hold my hand and speak to me?

I'm going to GP today but doubt I'll get results right away!

* update GP said anything from thyroid to cancer. Had a swap taken and it was noted that my cervix is swollen so GP quite concerned and booking a scan and bloods. Could be a 8week wait for tests and results. I'm absolutely shitting myself. 15 months this has been going on... If its really bad news then I've had it for 15 months already!*

Do you have health anxiety?

Cancer is a worst case scenario, it could be something as simple as you needing some thyroxine. And bloods won't take nearly eight weeks.

Keep things in perspective. I hope all goes OK.

No. But the next available appointment to get my blood taken is three weeks away, I was told it would be 4-7 days on results. 6-8 weeks on the scan.

I have anxiety, which has been 100x worse lately so I could very well do. Cancer scares the hell out of me and it runs right through my family, definitely main cause of death and effects nearly everyone.

Thyroid and early meno sound more likely to me- and can be managed very well. Most blood test results come in very quickly, and you'll soon feel better once on the appropriate meds.

I felt like you and had all the tests done. I had very low Vit D and iron, and low thyroid function.
Now I'm Peri, too. Joy.

The swollen cervix really is playing on my mind, as is the GPs reaction it!

Does thyroid and early meno cause that too?

I'm hoping for thyroid as we had discussed more children.
