Mirena coil inserted yesterday - very bloated

Hi all,
I had a Mirena coil inserted yesterday, it was uncomfortable etc but today I feel fine.
The only issue is that I am very very bloated, a bit of blood spotting but not major. The nurse mentioned the possibility of that.
Now has anyone else had those side effects? How long for bloating to go down? I assume once the body gets used I will not get more bloating or will that be a monthly occurrence?

I had mine in yesterday. A bit tender in my tummy, bleeding stopped. No bloating. This is my third (fourth because last one went wrong). Can't say ive noticed any bloating. Everyone different though. The last one i bled like a stuck pig for three weeks will never let gp do it again

These side effects usually last a few weeks, but deffo keep an eye on them. When I had my copper coil fitted I had unreal pain for over a week, when I finally decided that something might be wrong I went to the gp to be examined, for her to find that my cervix was extremely inflamed due to the nurse leaving a piece of cotton wool inside me !!!!!!

I meant a few days not weeks whoops x
