Periods (lack of)

I am wondering what to do

I have been having a problem for some months now where I would have my period on time but then the next one would be a longer cycle at least 40 days, then it would be on time and then late again, this has never happened before in all the time I have had periods

I am no more stressed than normal,I have always been overweight but again it has never contributed to having a problem with them,I haven’t put loads on suddenly or lost any

I now have not had since November

I am not pregnant and don’t have any other symptoms but now worried that they just seem to have stopped

I have spoken to the nurse on the phone last year and she said I need a smear test,I have never had one but the trouble is I am housebound so can’t get out to have one

I have had my usual PMT symptoms come and go,including pains in my stomach, feeling hungry and so on but nothing

I don’t know if it has any relevance but I did have a large ovarian cyst while I was pregnant and had it removed when my daughter was born by c section nearly 7 years ago

So I’m not sure what to do now

How old are you? Might it be menopause related? It’s probably best if you make an appointment with your GP and go and have a chat about it.
