Just looking fir some good news stories really
Had early menopause at 42, now 57, past couple of days have had dark brown discharge looks like old blood. It's not heavy but it's not going away.
I am overdue for a smear
I will contact Gp tomorrow but have terrified myself reading about cancer .
I am well no pain no weight loss
Anyone had similar?

You're doing the best thing by seeing your GP.

The process is that any bleeding- even one drop- so long after menopause has to be investigated.

Just so you know, and are forewarned, your GP will ( or should!) fast track you for a uterine scan within 2 weeks.

This is the guidelines, so don't be alarmed.

There can be all kinds of reasons why you might be bleeding- polyps for example- but it def needs looking at.

I've seen the guidelines and am v prepared fir the horrors to come diagnostically if not for the results
