PMS/PMDD does anything work?

I've been struggling with PMS for months and in the last few weeks realised I probably have PMDD after a particularly bad couple of months. The two weeks between ovulating and my period are really getting me down to the point where I am fearing my next period. I end up feeling so flat, alternating with anxious and like I'm going mad, it's horrible.
My moods were stable whilst pregnant and mostly in the first year after my child was born but there past year my hormones have been up and down.

I'm two weeks into taking sertraline and am having a very up and down experience. Today is one of my low mood days in my cycle and the sertraline isn't helping so far.
I would like to see a specialist like Nick Panay but can not afford to go private. I've read that the pill can make it worse so I don't want to try that until the sertraline settles down.
Has anyone found anything that works?

I'm perimenopausal and have big hormonal swings, I find that CBD oil helps with the pms and anxiety - but no idea if it would be safe to take with setraline?
