Does it just randomly come back?

2 years ago my partner and I found out we had chlamydia. We got treatment for it. Tested again a while after taking treatment and got the all clear.

My partner now suspects he has it again and he says that chlamydia can return... I've tried googling and I find nothing to back what he says. If it was successfully treated would it come back?

Or am I to take this as he is a lying poo face and he has cheated? He's currently at the beginning of counselling as he's been told by Relate he is a sex addict. He says he's not slept with anyone since he got caught 2 years ago.

Freaking out currently while I wait for my appointment for a test and then results.

Just found this on google, looks like it can return!

Surely it can't return after 2 years?! Sounds dodgy to me especially as he's getting counselling for sex addiction too. Maybe contact your local sexual health clinic and ask if it can return after 2 years of not having it. Good luck

I'm sorry but think he's been unfaithful.

I think chlamydia can lie dormant until treated sometimes but once treated I don't think it comes back.

What do you mean by sex addict? Is he sleeping with other women or demanding sex with you all the time?? (It's a bit of an odd thing to label someone when they are supposedly in a monogamous set up.)
