On holiday when coil needs removing, will they take it or before?

Has anyone else had the coil removed a month before due to being away? Will they allow this? Also wanting another one put in straight away, can I do that?

Just wait until you get back. Coils don't go off overnight.

From past experience I would recommend getting an appointment before you go away. I had a nightmare trying to get my coil replaced last year as my old one had gone past it's official sell by date so they were convinced I was pregnant and refused to touch me until I hadn't had unprotected sex for three weeks. Was quite a stressful time! Hope that helps.

Just had mine fitted and my removal date is quite vague. Get an appointment for your first period after you're back
