Hi,
I'm 24 and not a mummy, however I thought I'd turn to mums net because I trust you lovely ladies
I'm on the contraception implant and keep having really really heavy bleeding with no warning (discharge or brown stuff before), there are sometimes real bad stomach cramps, especially around my left side.. I can sometimes bleed for 2 weeks at a time which makes me super run down and tired! I'm always bloated too.
Really getting worried, its prob nothing but has this happened to anyone before? Can anyone reccomend anything? Docs just fob it off really!
Thank. You x

It's probably the implant that is contributing to the bleeding. Hormonal contraception can mess with your cycle

Worth suggesting to Drs about it being PID

Take a look and see if it fits your symptoms.

I got an infection (granted it was from retained product post birth but yours could be from a whole variety of other causes) which gave me PID and that really messed up my periods and caused a lot pain and bloating

This is not normal and you need to be seen by a gynaecologist. Do not dismiss these symptoms as possibly nothing, it warrants further investigation. Also bleeding heavily could well make you become anaemic.
