Hi all i have a bout of thrush that doesn’t seem to be going away. ive tried canestan combi and the oral tablet all not really doing much. The canistan wash seems to help for a bit.

The Dr can prescribe the standard flucanazole tablets in bulk for recrurrent cases. Flucanazole is basically unbranded Canesten, but much cheaper. I buy these online as they work the same as Canesten without the price tag.

Also, Canesten is usually cheaper with a prescription than over the counter, as you would only be paying the standard prescription charge.

The doctor can make an accurate diagnosis (it might not be thrush) and prescribe the right medication in a sufficient dose.

Sometimes a change in diet is needed in addition. Try cutting down on sugars and milk products.

Garlic can help too. If you can tolerate eating it raw, all the better.
