Hi!

First time posting here but really getting to the end of my tether.

For the last 6 or 7 months at a certain point I suddenly get this horrendous sharp pain in my very lower left abdomen, I'm talking doubled over have to go and lie and pass out kind of pain! Sometimes it's around the time of my period but not always! It's always in exactly the same spot and I end up vomiting in pain :( went to a and e today after a horrible bout and they did bloods, urine and x Ray tests that came back inconclusive? Anyone else have experience of this? Thank you!! Xxx

How long does the pain last?

Mavistheduck1 · 08/12/2018 18:43

It comes on super suddenly in a matter of minutes and then I have to go and lie down, if I get sleep when I wake up after a couple of hours the pain is gone, today as I was awake it lasted about 5 hours in the hospital, I do come round after and I'm fine but I missed a family dinner for it today so it's more a nuisance :( I've had cramps before too as well but this is a whole different animal!

I think you need to see the GP asap and get a referral to a gynaecologist.

In the meantime I would keep a pain and symptom diary if you do not already do so and note everything down. If this is endometriosis for instance, blood tests and the like are not going to detect it.
