This morning while asleep I woke up thinking I'd just wet myself but instead it was a heavy stream of bright red blood I jumped out of bed but it didn't stop, I had no control of it at all. is this normal?

Wtf!! No not at all normal. Ring 111. Hope your ok.

Littlebelina · 06/12/2018 09:26

No ( guessing it's not your period but even then it sounds excessive). Heavy bleeding ( soaking a pad in an HR) is a reason to get to A+E.

MadameJosephine · 06/12/2018 09:28

When you say ‘heavy stream’ how much blood do you mean? Are you still bleeding OP? I think you may need to get yourself to A&E

mumtoafrog · 06/12/2018 09:57

Well I couldn't tell you the exact amount I'm not on my period and not due on. I feel fine now and haven't passed any since. But I've never had this happen before

If it's stopped that is good. Might still be worth a chat to your GP? Could you be pregnant?

mumtoafrog · 06/12/2018 10:04

No can't be pregnant I haven't had sex for quite a while! Single parent and all!

You need to get to GP or walk in. No it's not normal.

Any unusual bleeding needs to be checked out.

Littlebelina · 06/12/2018 10:08

I agree with babyshark that you should see your GP and if it starts again before that either 111 or A+E depending on how heavy it is. It's not normal

WindinTheWillowsLover · 06/12/2018 10:32

Surely it's a period come early or late? How long is it since your last period? Was it vaginal bleeding?

Ilovedotcotton · 14/12/2018 16:36

How are you @mumtoafrog?
