Hi everyone. I'm here and really hope-ing someone can help. I'm 31 and have not had a period since August. I'm usually 28 days. I've never missed a period or been more than 2 days late. Iv pg tested all negative. I've had bloods for pg text and hormones, All OK. I'm going out of my mind with worrying, thinking it could be some type of cancer or brain tumor. My other symptoms are... Pelvic, abdominal and lower back pain. Bloating. Tender breast and headaches, I feel alot more tired and out of breath easy. Please any information or similar experience from anyone will really help.

Thanks
X

Yes. I'm going to call my gp today. I think it's just a matter of putting my foot down. I'm sure I've read after 3 missed periods they have to look into it. Thank you

Was there a lot of pain before the bleeding?

I have polycystic ovaries. I frequently had months of no periods then would get one. I had scans to confirm the polycystic diagnosis - during this they noted one large "chocolate" cyst. A couple of months later this burst and the pain before was intense.

I would be asking for a referral to a gynaecologist and for a scan of the ovaries.

Yes and I'm in alot of pain. Now, but the pain has been on and off for months. Some days worse than others. Would polycystic ovarys show on a blood test? Thank you

What did the GP say?

adaline · 06/12/2018 07:31

You need a scan for polycystic ovaries - when I needed a scan for abnormal bleeding it was about a four week wait from my GP referring me.

Please go to your GP and insist on a pelvic/ovarian scan. They'll be able to look at your ovaries, tubes, bladder and womb and make sure everything is healthy. I was scanned to look for cysts, polyps and endometriosis.

Update!
Hi everyone. I woke up yesterday in a lot of pain and heavy bleeding.

I've been back to go and she took some swabs and more bloods and did an internal. She said my uterus feels really tender? She's books me in for a fast track scan... I feel abit now that they are actually looking into it.

I was in terrible pain yesterday all over. I really just want to get to the bottom of this now.

I'm so pleased they're doing something for you. Good luck for your scan.
