spotting and periods

I am just wondering what this is all about really. I was spotting every morning a week before my period started. Every morning I wiped and a pink bit of blood was on the tissue. This only happened in the morning and lasted 7 days. Then the next morn my period came medium- heavy with clots (usually get clots) then stopped after 2 days (medium/ heavy to nothing). Is this normal?

It can indicate a hormone inbalance: it isn’t a problem as such (unless you are TTc). However all unexpected bleeding should probably be discussed with your GP x

its never happened before but in june i did take norethisterone and wasnt sure if this made a difference. after taking this i didnt have another period for 6 weeks which messed me up. not ttc but not using anything X
