Smear test

Hi TMI, I really need someone to put my mind at ease or maybe figure out what's wrong haha. Since my son (3rd child) was born July 2017 I've been in quite abit of pain and had on and off bleeding pretty much all the time since he was born, which is unusual for me as i have PCOS and usually hardy bleed. for the last year about 5-7 days before i come on my period every month I bleed like jelly type of blood and im in severe pain, like fall to the floor holding my pelvis, crying pain. I ended up in hospital about 6 months ago and had blood tests to check my vitamin/iron levels ECT, urine tests and a ultra sound to check my bladder which apperently came back fine. I got a letter this morning saying I need to go for a smear test, in the booklet attached it said 25 + . I'm just under 25 so rang just to check and they said due to my scan results my doctors has been pushing for me to have one since the scan and has just been told I can have one even though I'm not 25! They wantes me to come in next week but told me i cant bring kids in with me so have booked me in for Christmas eve instead due to child care. I didn't know anything about this, so now I'm over thinking. Has anyone had these symptoms and know what it could be? I'm abit scared about the smear but I definitely will be having it.

Didn't want to read and run.
The main thing is you go and have the smear, you won't know until you do. It may come back all fine and then your GP should assist you with finding out what the cause is. You shouldn't be bleeding so it's important to find out why you are.
If the smear test comes back with anything bad it's best you know as soon as possible so you can get treatment. I always had normal smears then two years ago I was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer. I'm not writing this to scare you (quite the opposite); for me it was picked up early, and I received excellent care and no it's like it never happened; but it's like that because I found out early.
I actually had zero symptoms (no bleeding for example) so just because you are it doesn't mean the worst.
Let us know how you get on xxx
