Cervical erosion/ectropion

Hello, this is a long one, so please bear with me Sad

I went to the doctors on Tuesday after having pink (not red) discharge when I wiped after sex (this happened about 1 month ago, twice). I thought we had been ‘too rough’! Had sex since and nothing!

My periods range from 23-28 days as I’m still breastfeeding my 2 year old who is my 3rd child.

I have period type pains right through my cycle but thought I was normal as I’ve had 3 pregnancys and things are never the same.

when I saw the doctor on tuesday she said that my cervix was very inflamed and vascular? She referred me to a gyne and I’m booked in for next Friday.

I am now so so worried, as I’ve had back pain, and lost weight recently (although I have been trying!). I’ve called the doctors again for reassurance which they can’t give me and I’ve booked another appointment for Monday, as I’m going out of my mind.

II’ve had no spotting, I’m not on the pill but for the last 6 years, I’ve either been breastfeeding or pregnant.

I asked the doctor what she thought it was and she said an ersion, and I said what else could it be and she said the big C word.

My last smear was March 2017 and my cervix was normal. Do you have to be pregnant to develop these ?

You probably already have your answer now! I went through this a few years ago and was convinced I had cancer. It turned out to be an erosion/abrasion - no treatment was needed and I’ve been fine ever since. Hope all is now ok.
