My bladder has dropped since posterior repair

I'm just devastated to be honest! I'm hoping I'm wrong.
I had surgery on 12th November for a posterior repair. I've been healing ok but as the days go by I can feel a bulge in my vagina which goes away a little when I lie down but feels awful when I stand up. I didn't have this feeling before the rectocele surgery, could it be down to everything swelling I'd have I now developed a cystocele because of the surgery I had! If so, this is worse and I just want to cry, please help Sad

Oh no, so sorry to hear! I had anterior & posterior repair yesterday, all went well. Do you think you were doing too much, too soon or has it just happened by itself? Keep me posted and hope you get seen by the consultant again very quickly (you have rung them back straight away I hope!)

Hi alidew

Thanks for your reply, I have rang but yet to receive a phone call back, Sad feeling a little more positive today, I've been trying desperately not to think to much or focus too much on my pelvic floor, I find if I distract myself it is slightly better and the urges go off. I guess I under estimate the power the brain has over the bladder perhaps? X

Oh chase them up. Did you get a direct number when you were discharged? The things we put up with sometimes! Hope it’s sorted soon x
