Accupuncture for heavy periods/irregular

Has anyone had accupuncture for irregular and heavy periods? Has it helped you?
I'm tempted to try it but because its quite pricey i want to hear some success stories?

You might be better off googling for any research on it because a handful of replies here are purely anecdotal. Periods can settle down for all kinds of reasons, and not necessarily acupuncture. See if there have been any double blind, controlled studies.

Would not bother with using acupuncture for either type of problem. You ideally need to see a gynae as common causes of heavy periods include fibroids and endometriosis.

Irregular problems can be caused by hormonal imbalances, blood tests can be done to determine what the exact cause is.
