High blood pressure..... and trying for a baby!!

Wondered if anyone has had the same experiences and can offer some reassuring advice.

At the age of 26 I was put on Blood pressure tablets for high bp (Amlodipine 5mg which a couple of years ago was upped to 10mg). I’m not over weight, I’m active and heathy. Have had blood tests, Kidney scan, 24hours urine collection and nothing flagged up.

Now I’m 31 have been on the tablets for 5years. I’m getting married next year and went to see the doctors about trying for a baby she has referred me to a specialist as she was unsure what the right meds would be.

I think about my blood pressure daily that I’m gunna drop down dead/ have a stroke, heart attack! Which I know will make it worse but trying to get [santa]out of that mind frame is hard! Especially when people go your young!

I can be a worrier and get anxious from time to time. Which surly that cannot be the main cause of the high blood pressure? So many people suffer with anxiety now a days wouldn’t more people be on BP tablets if this was the case or are they?

I think to myself (reassure myself) it is better that it has been picked up on so young, rather then someone my age going unnoticed for years?

Has anyone had the same experience of trying for a baby with high blood pressure?

Or has anyone been diagnosed with high blood pressure at a young age?
