Nipple discharge - How to clean?

I've recently noticed yellow crusty discharge on both nipples. I had this a while ago but now I've seen it for a second time, I'm going to get this checked by a GP.

In the meantime, I wanted to ask if anyone had advice of how to clean it off as it's hard.

I wondered about a bath, or using Lanolin nipple cream to soften the area might help?

Any suggestions most welcome

Are you pregnant? It could be colestrum but obviously absolutely get it checked.

Soaking in the bath would probably clean it.

Would help if I mentioned that. No I'm not pregnant.

I have both my nipples pierced so sometimes get this, when my immune system is run down, soak in warm water and then clean with a cotton bud that's been in warm water, I then out a dab of tcp on, this is up to you though, I only do this because of my piercings x

Thanks @bbyvegan I'll definitely try a good soak.
