Pain in a 4 year old C-section scar? Is this normal?

Just that really. Not had any weird pain or feeling there for the past year years but this week I've had a cough
About an hour ago I coughed and there was a sharp shooting pain where the scar is and since then has happened every time I cough.
I don't wanna go doctors as I'm in there most weeks with one of the kids they must get sick of me. Has anyone else had this? Hoping it will go away by itself. :/

Meant to say no pain for the past 3 1/2 years. 🙄

Not C-section, but I have two surgery scars under my arms and they often get a bit swollen/sore when I get sick, as do all my piercings. Then if I get a cough and it pulls the wrong way I get pain like you describe. I wouldn't be too concerned, it can take some time after surgery for everything to reconnect properly (I had numbness around my scars for over two years and one is still numb three years on) so you may not initially have felt the pulling but if something has healed more since you last had a cough you may notice it more now? Plus it's easy to pull stomach muscles coughing which doesn't help. If it doesn't go away may be worth a doctor's visit just to check everything is healed and not pulling or sticking but otherwise I would say probably normal.

Thank you. That's very helpful!! Think will wait to see if it eases a bit then.:)

Sounds like you may nave pinged and adhesion (disclaimer, totally not medically qualified) and stretched of snapped it. Some people swear by Mizan therapy to get c section scars mobilised.

Shit, sorry that barely made sense. I'm just knackered , not pissed, honest.
