I know there have been innumerable threads about this, but has anyone got the bottom (hah!) of them? What causes fanny daggers.

Asking for a friend.

When you’re friend finds out I’d love to know Grin

Never had it before I was pregnant and I’m now being stabbed up the vag several times a day at the moment.

Javelin arse, I point the finger at endometriosis.

Fanny daggers, not sure.

StripySocksAndDocs · 17/10/2018 20:02

had javelin arse but no fanny daggers (sound horrible). are you on any contraception?

Cherries101 · 17/10/2018 20:05

Can be sciatica, pcos, endo, or muscle stiffness caused by lack of exercise.

TheQueef · 17/10/2018 20:07

Pudendal Neuralgia

Cherries definitely not the first or last of your suggestions.
TheQueef that sounds like a definite possibility.

Fanny daggers is the equally evil twin of javelin arse, which I also experience.

PS. Not on any contraception. But I am currently ovulating if that makes any difference.

If it happens when you ovulate and only then I’d blame pcos. Ovulation has always been the most painful part of periods for me.

Samantha2018 · 17/10/2018 21:52

Used to happen with me when I was pregnant I'd cry convinced of the worst I'd never experienced it before happened afew times after birth but not for years now
