Something wrong with my periods

Ok so I would say the last few years my periods have been irregular but then I haven’t tracked them too much as I’ve had my kids and just deal with them when they arrive which is usually every 4-5wks. However my last period was end of June and I’ve had nothing since. Until now. Started getting sore boobs yesterday and cramp and my tummy feels so swollen today and feels like it’s going to start quite heavy but it’s just not! When I’m wiping it’s pink blood but not much. I feel like it’s stuck!? I know that sounds odd but honestly feel like somethings in the way! I know if this continues I need to speak to my gp on Monday but Just wondered if anyone’s had similar? I’m 40 with 2 kids.

It's possibly peri menopause starting so have a read. See your dr if it continues as this would be classed as early menopause (before 45) if your periods carry on being erratic at 40. There can be other reasons for missing periods, like thyroid levels, and loss of weight, or lots of stress.

Presumably you aren't pregnant? Have you done a test?

It has crossed my mind it could be menopause. No def not pregnant as dh has had the snip, I have tested as I know there’s still a minuscule chance but it was negative thankfully!
