3rd degree tear

I'm 10 weeks postpartum and I had a 3rd degree tear. At my 6week check up the doc said everything looked fine. Although I wasn't able to have a physical exam (tried but was very anxious).
To anyone else who had a bad tear, when did you feel normal?

Was your tear a, b, or c? (Increasing in severity). I had a 3a and it took me about five months. I then opted for an elcs for dd2 which was fab.

I had a 3a tear, can’t remember when things began to feel normal but not very long after. It’s now 16 months on and things are fine. It may not be this way for you but it is a “new normal” ... mainly when I need a BM i get a bit of scar tissue pain if I don’t go straight away but the doctor said this will most likely go. A few sex positions feel very different but I’ve got used to this “new normal” . Good luck, don’t worry the repair jobs are generally marvelous. FWIW I’m rubbish at being examined too Flowers
