My periods are normally fine. The colour/consistency is what I would call fairly normal, I use a menstrual cup so I can clearly see what’s coming out. Anyway, I started with some brown spotting a few days before my period was due which carried on for longer than normal. Then the day after my period was due, when I took my cup out in the afternoon, the blood was very thick, almost stretchy. It’s usually a little thicker than blood that was to come out from say, a cut finger, and I know that’s what it’s supposed to be like but this was very, I dunno, gloopy? Is it normal to be that thick? I’ve never seen that before. I’ve had no other bleeding since, just back to brown ewcm (??).
I was ttc for two years (decided to take a break over the summer) and had a number of hormone tests done, all of which were perfectly fine. I don’t know what else would cause the blood to be that consistency
