I have a contraceptive implant, which is coming towards the end of its life; due out after Christmas. I also have a reasonably regular cycle. It can swing three or four days either way, but is very rarely outside 24-32 days.
I'm currently on day 44, so 16 days late. I've also been having increasing bloating/cramps/painful boobs/fatigue/nausea. It's been feeling like AF is about to come for well over a week. I did a pregnancy test this morning which has come back negative. My boobs are so sore and swollen this morning I nearly cried when DS2 hugged me!
At what point do I start thinking about going to the GP? It's such a huge deviation from my usual cycle that I'm not sure if it needs checking out or not. I'm wondering if my implant may need to come out a bit early?
