Immediately tmi but during the peri-menopause my periods are suddenly intense. As in the digestive symptoms relating to hormones which has always been there, is now SO much worse. I have really bad constipation/flatulence for a week pre-period. Then the equivalent to dysentry diarohea 1 day/1st 2 days of start.
It's wrecking my life, in particular work. And killing ambition to do things. I'm just waiting to hit the menopause which could be years off, who knows.
I know the hormones which are doing this, has anyone any advice? I've been to the GP, they're not interested. I exercise and eat well. Any supplements? Does anyone else go through this? If I vaguely mention it in RL I get blank faces. I imagine my hormones have always been messed up as I had an abusive childhood, which appears to be the gift that just keeps giving. This is messing up my 40s and turning me housebound.
