Very odd periods for months (abortion warning)

Hi everyone, namechanged - not a troll.

I had a medical abortion back in March (implant failure, myself and DH agreed) and all went to plan, bleeding stopped within a week and I had seemingly gone back to normal. No sign of infection, clear test, back to my normal cycle exactly on time, average bleeding and PMS.

In the past 2/3 months everything has changed I've been bleeding for 2+ weeks at a time, very heavy (think bleeding through maxi tampons and pads within an hour) and terrible cramping, last month I was over a week late then had a 16 day bleed - this was until last Wednesday. Yesterday I have started again, only one week after my last with sudden other period symptoms such as bloating, breast swelling, bad cramps.

I have miscarried before and I can't remember my cycle being so affected by it - but I did get pregnant with DD 3 months after - so is this normal? I've looked online and everything is so conflicting and unclear. I do need to go to the doctors, but I'm finding it hard to get time off work for an appointment and a family member works in my surgery - nearest walk in centre is an hour away but looks to be my best option over the weekend.
