Removal of dermoid cyst by laparoscopy: Beggining of endometriosis found

As per the title, today I had a laparoscopy to remove a rather large dermoid cyst in my left ovary. During the procedure, the doctor also found a smaller dermoid cyst and the beggining of endometriosis.

I suppose that's the definitive proof I really want children one day, because I'm feeling rather worried about having difficult conceiving (I'm in my early 20s, so any planned pregnancy would happen 10-15 years from now.)

The doctor left after my surgery, way before I woke up from anesthesia. It was my mother who was told these details. Apparently the doctor cauterized the tissue found.

I have an appointment with him next week to see how things are going (he's my gynecologist), but my anxiety is kicking up over the prospect of the endometriosis giving me grief later on.

So, if you either made the procedure, or know about it:
Did your endometriosis came back after being cauterised, and if so, did you have difficult conceiving?

I have very bad endo which came back. I also had problems conceiving. However my problems having a baby were not related to my endo (genetic condition, no ovulation and very poor sperm were our main problems).

If you don’t want a baby at the moment the pill would be a good option to keep things quiet until you are ready :)
