Hole where it's not supposed to be?

I had a VBAC over 2 years ago now which resulted in some tearing including my labia.

I saw a nurse who helped with internal pain for a year.

Recently I've been having stinging/shooting pain outside the area - I've had a little examine and there's a hole in my outer labia - you could fit a penis head in it it's wide enough.

Does this need seen and what can they actually do?

NC'd as obviously personal.

Pencil, not penis!
Fuck that would be bad!

I’d absolutely see someone about that! I’d assume they would stitch it together but maybe I’m being optimistic giving the general state of women’s healthcare.

Ok just seen your update Grin I’d still see someone.

Is it a through and though hole? Do you know where it ends?

Fattymcfaterson · 01/09/2018 09:53

I'm So sorry, I know you're obviously worried about this, but I just choked on my tea reading that! 😁 😂

I'd definatly see the doctor

It's the labia minors I believe so is the flaps of skin that surround the entrance. So itjuat goes straight through to the other side if you get me?

Hiya OP,

I had a labial tear after my dd, it wasn't picked up on at the time but I sure as hell noticed when I plucked up the courage to look...I thought it had been hurting a lot!

Unfortunately by that time the edges had started to heal. My midwife sent me to see a gynae consultant and 6 months later had a small surgery to sew it back together. It was only partially successful as the bottom bit healed but the middle bit didn't, leaving me with a hole which sounds a lot like yours. Maybe the edges have torn and that's why you're getting the pain?

I had a second surgery and there's still a little hole but a lot smaller (the first one you probably could have fit a penis head through! Grin). I'm going to leave it now as it's basically functional if no oil painting and the surgery isn't much fun as they had to re-open the edges in order to try and get them to heal together again.

I'd suggest you try and get referred to see if reconstructional surgery is an option. Good luck.
