Any advice before I go to my gp begging for help. I was on cerazette for 5 years and after an initial 6 months of very light periods they stopped for 5 years. Previous had very heavy periods but regular cycle and 5 days long. Came off cerazette due to non existent sex drive that almost split up my relationship.
6 weeks afternoon coming off cerazette I had a long and heavy period which was like a 5 year build up and lasted 16 days. Have had 4 more since then, all heavy but not as bad as the first one and all lasting 12+ days. Am currently on day 18 of a period and only had a 20 day gap between them. It is driving me mental! My sex drive is back but constantly bleeding means still no sex.
I’m am early 40s and was on cerazette as overweight and it was only one I could get. It sounds daft but it is exhausting bleeding all the time. I have no other symptoms so don’t think it is the menopause but really looking for advice or reassurance. Has anyone experienced this and come out the other end ok? Thanks.
