Scan results for my DD

I just need to share and get it out of my ststem.
My DD has had a scan this week-end and received a call from her Dr,first thing this morning to go and see him to-night at his Surgery he has had a phone call from the Specialist she is under and its only 48hrs since she has had the scan.
I have gone into meldown worrying about the outcome as she was told the results would at her Drs in about 10days so you can imagine my concerns.
What makes it worse is she is the same age as when I had my operation for Ovarian Cancer and am thinking it is history repeating itself.
The fact that her Dr rang her at work has really un-nerved me .

Hopefully it's nothing and it's just because it's Monday and a fire was lit underneath the Dr.
I hope everything is ok x

On the upside at least they are on the ball if something is wrong.
Hopefully it turns out to be nothing x

So she will find out this evening? Poor you, how worrying. Can you do something? Afternoon cinema? Take your mind off it?

abigailsnan · 20/08/2018 16:45

Fingers crossed for you & your DD, OP.

SleepWarrior · 20/08/2018 16:49

Totally understandable to be worrying given your history, but it could be one of many things that needs dealing with but isn't a disastrous diagnosis. Great that she's sharing it with you. Good luck Flowers

All crossed lass.

Well since you're hear to tell the tale OP, and with an adult DD too, you know it's more than likely it will be OK even if it is OC. Plus, treatments are improving all the time - especially if it's caught early. Did you ever get BRAC2 tested?

Hoping very much it will be OK.

(I'm stage 4 OC)

SouthWestmom · 20/08/2018 19:46

Well good luck op I hope you get decent news. Hi TQ, I'm a lurker on your threads, hope you continue to remain in positive health.

Hi there, after seeing my DDs Dr. last night I am much calmer than I was yesterday.
Her results show a cyst/mass at the top of her womb roughly 8cms x 8cms but thankfully the tests for OV are clear according to him.
The Dr.has booked her in for a CT Scan and she is waiting for the phone call he said it will be in the next few days.
My DD will have a hysterectomy asap
I was very lucky when I was ill and my OV was diaognosed on a Saturday and had the surgery on the Monday it was very scary I was 41 at the time I can't praise the NHS enough for the care I received.
Thanks to everyone for your replies girls I needed to chat to someone.xx
