I've namechanged, so sorry for the TMI!

Just got up to go for a wee there and as I wiped I felt something 'hanging' out of my vagina. Wondered if my period had arrived but turned on the bathroom light and no sign of any blood. Got some more tissue and wiped and 'pulled' and like a blob of mucus came away? There was quite a lot, then when I just wiped there was a little more..
It reminded me of when I started losing my plug at the end of pregnancy 😕

Some extra info:
I'm 17 weeks PP with DC1, baby is FF
I'm back on the pill, and am about a week into the second pack from running 2 together due to a night away

Is this normal? I was on the pill for 10+ years before conceiving last year and never had anything like this.

Thanks Smile

I get snot like discharge when I’m ovulating. It’s clear doesn’t smell and sometimes it’s a bit like jelly?

User111 · 20/08/2018 04:42

Yes like that @MrsFoxPlus4 🤔

Bit concerned though, as I'm on the pill?! Shouldn't be ovulating...

Think I was just surprised at how much there was.

And worrying now.

Oh I’m not on any contraceptive so that’s how I know. Sometimes there is a fair amount when I wipe it’s only once though through out the month. I’d maybe go see your GP just incase, or ring and ask to speak to someone first incase it’s nothing to worry about

Thanks for the advice Smile

Anyone else? I'm a bit concerned if I am ovulating as I had sex yesterday morning.

Attached a picture - a little more has just came away this morning, slightly blood tinged though?

Anyone?

Was it unprotected sex...

User111 · 20/08/2018 09:41

@BrazzleDazzleDay I'm on the pill, so technically no. However, I was on the mini pill after giving birth, which then changed to the combined pill and I have just ran two packs together (I'm a week into my second pack).

Have done a HPT this morning which was negative but I'm aware that if I'm ovulating it could happen after having intercourse yesterday. Shall I just stop taking my pill and hope I get my withdrawal bleed in the next few days? Or go for the MAP? I can go to my local walk in clinic this evening.

It looks absolutely normal to me!

User111 · 20/08/2018 09:43

@TTEA really? That's a relief! It's just not anything I've ever experience but I always remember reading the conception boards and people asking if mucus like that meant they were ovulating.
I'm aware that with being on the combined pill I shouldn't be ovulating at all Grin

BrazzleDazzleDay · 20/08/2018 09:45

I would be likely to thank dh for that! What goes in must come out Grin

TTEA · 20/08/2018 09:49

I've ha discharge like this whilst being on the pill and it hasn't been from sex. Wasn't pregnant. No STIs. Just entirely normal discharge. Honestly doesn't look like anything to worry about.

meadowmeow · 20/08/2018 09:49

having intercourse yesterday

Surely it's a combo of bodily fluids then?

User111 · 20/08/2018 09:53

@BrazzleDazzleDay @meadowmeow really?! Sorry to sound so naive, I promise I'm not Grin have never had anything like after intercourse before! Obviously I have the delightful post-sex leakage/dash to bathroom to clean up but never that the following day! It was thicker than semen... Very strange!
Think I may just finish taking my pill today and hope I get my withdrawal bleed the next few days Smile

@TTEA thank you so much for the reassurance, I appreciate it Smile

No problem @User111 - of course nobody can tell you 100% whether it is anything sinister. I just highly HIGHLY doubt it. Women's bodies are amazing things, and not always predictable. Unless you have reason to believe there's anything wrong I would put it out of your mind entirely. Unless it smells bad, is a strange colour, has blood in it etc, I see no reason for concern.
