Mine is 60
I've booked a private scan for tomorrow, I'm going on holiday Saturday so I want to know
I've no money, it's going on the MasterCard

I drank a neat vodka when I got in and feel a little calmer now

Mine was 60, it was due to the fibroids. The test is non-specific, so could be due to any number of things. But it’s a good idea to put your mind at rest before you go away.

Hi Mozz I've rang for my results which was "not within range" I don't know what that means? Just waiting for the Dr to call back.

MozzchopsThirty · 23/08/2018 18:48

Hope you get good results
Come back and let us know

How are things

Smellbellina · 23/08/2018 21:23

Unfortunately I missed the Dr`s phone call so will have to call in the morning. The receptionist said they've referred me for an MRI. I also have a call back for abnormal cells on my cervix and I've just quit my job to start a PGCE! They do say things come in 3's!!

TwitterQueen1 · 23/08/2018 21:57

Mozz if it's double 'normal' limits I'm guessing it's around 70? That's not actually very high. Mine was in the 500s, as was my OC friend's. All it means is that your body is fighting some kind of inflammation, which could be any number of things...

Let me know what the private scan indicates tomorrow and then go on holiday and try to put it to one side whilst you're away. Worst case scenario, even if it is OC, a week or several won't make any difference at all to the effectiveness of any treatment.

TwitterQueen1 · 23/08/2018 22:00

Smell same goes for you too. I'm assuming 'Not within range' means over 35, but on its own it doesn't mean anything other than an inflammation. Good to know you've got an MRI booked - that will help with a dx.

Smellbellina · 24/08/2018 09:17

Well I rang the Dr they can't tell me anything till Tuesday! Booked me in for a telephone consultation then. All they can tell me is they've done an urgent referral for an MRI so I think you're right Twitter. Bit miffed no one can tell me anything today though.

Smellbellina · 24/08/2018 09:21

How was the scan Mozz?

happymummy4 · 26/08/2018 21:33

Hi Mozzchops, I'm sorry you are having this worrying time. I too have just received news that my ca125 is 'high' and was sent for an urgent pelvic US which was fortunately clear. My GP has ordered an abdominal US which I need to book next week. She reassured me and said that there are many reasons for a raised ca125 but it's something they want to look into.

MozzchopsThirty · 27/08/2018 20:08

Hi all, currently 'relaxing' in lake Garda
I'm still in a lot of pain, bloated and uncomfortable
My dcs do nothing but fight

Apart from that I'm ok Smile

Did you manage to talk to the doctor today Smellbellina?

Smellbellina · 28/08/2018 17:13

Yes I did @TwitterQueen1 and I am so relieved, they haven't referred me for an MRI the receptionist made a mistake it is for an ultrasound and my Ca125 is raised but only to 40! I don't think I'd realised quite how stressed I was until I finished the phonecall today. Thank you so much for your insight and support, it's really helped Flowers

TwitterQueen1 · 28/08/2018 17:16

Well that's good news Smell! The medics are obviously being ultra cautious here, which is very reassuring.

MozzchopsThirty · 28/08/2018 20:10

@Smellbellina great news
Sorry you had to wait so long for the results
