PMT

I went to the drs last week as having a rough time of it, think mostly its PMT as as soon as period starts I am ok.

They instantly pushed meds so I agreed to 10mg of citralopram.

Been taking it since Friday but its making me sleepy, nauseous, hungry, head feels stuffy & windy! haha

Now thinking its not good to be on AD and i'd like to try remedies. I was taking some before but lapsed so obv need to be stricter with myself.

I have at home:
Agnus Cactus
Evening Primrose Oil

Thinking of getting magnesium and B6 or maybe just a beefy multi vitamin?

Seeing dr again tomorrow so going to talk through the way pills are making me feel.

Hey, the symptoms you describe are common initial side effects of SSRI antidepressants like citalopram and usually go away after the first 2 weeks or so. It would have been wise for your GP to warn you of this so you knew what to expect and that these side effects are usually temporary. Obvs up to you if you continue taking them but it's worth hanging in there for a month as they should have started to have some benefit by then if they're going to.

I'm a GP, by the way. And have also taken citalopram.

They probably did say about side effects just not sure I expected to feel this way,
I've talked with GP and am going to try diet and supplements for now and then will see how I am in a few months, AD just doesn't sit right with me
